Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Sixth Precinct Crime Section officers are asking for the public’s help in identifying a woman accused of fraudulently returning merchandise at a Centereach store earlier this month.
According to police, the woman removed health and beauty products from shelves at Target, located at 265 Pond Path, and used a receipt from a prior purchase to return the items. The transaction, which occurred on February 6 at approximately 3:43 p.m., resulted in $450 in store credit, authorities said.
The investigation remains ongoing.
