Nassau County police are asking for the public’s help locating a man wanted on a felony criminal mischief charge connected to an incident in Hicksville.
According to Nassau County Police Department’s weekly “Mugshot Monday” bulletin, Joseph Reitberger is wanted for Criminal Mischief in the Third Degree, a felony charge involving damage to another person’s property exceeding $250.
Police said the incident occurred in Hicksville.
Authorities described Reitberger as a 30-year-old white male with black hair and brown eyes. He is approximately 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighs about 160 pounds.
Nassau County police advised the public not to attempt to apprehend or detain him.
Anyone with information regarding Reitberger’s whereabouts is asked to contact Nassau County police. Authorities said tips can be submitted anonymously.
Police noted that the individual has been arrested for the listed offense and subsequently failed to appear in court and/or comply with the conditions of release.
The investigation remains active.
