A Selden spa employee has been arrested again after a second woman came forward accusing him of forcible touching during a massage, Suffolk County Police said.
Li-Yong He, 52, of Levittown, was taken into custody Thursday night at W Foot Relaxing Spa on Middle County Road following a new complaint reported to Sixth Squad detectives.
Police said the second victim reported that He inappropriately touched her during a massage on April 24 between approximately 6:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. at the same spa.
The new allegation surfaced after media coverage of an earlier incident on April 26, in which a 27-year-old woman told police He forcibly touched her while she was lying on a massage table during a session around 12:50 p.m. The woman left the spa and reported the incident to the Sixth Precinct.
Authorities said the latest victim came forward after seeing news reports about that case.
He was arrested again at the spa by Sixth Squad detectives and charged with Forcible Touching and Unauthorized Practice of a Profession.
He is being held overnight at the Sixth Precinct and is scheduled to be arraigned May 1 at First District Court in Central Islip.
Police are urging anyone who believes they may have been a victim to contact the Sixth Squad at 631-854-8652.
Forcible Touching is a misdemeanor under New York law. Unauthorized Practice of a Profession is also a criminal offense that can carry additional penalties depending on the circumstances.
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
