Nassau County police are searching for a 31-year-old man accused of unlawfully possessing a skimmer device with the intent to use it for identity theft in Franklin Square.
Police identified the wanted man as Pavel Olevski. He is wanted on a charge of second-degree unlawful possession of a skimmer device, according to a Nassau County Police Department Mugshot Monday alert.
Authorities described Olevski as a white man with black hair and brown eyes. He is approximately 5 feet, 10 inches tall and weighs about 200 pounds.
Police did not release additional information about when or where in Franklin Square the alleged incident occurred.
Anyone with information about Olevski’s whereabouts is asked to contact Nassau County police. The department said messages can be submitted anonymously.
Police warned members of the public not to attempt to apprehend or detain him.
