Nassau County police are asking for the public’s help finding a woman wanted in connection with a shoplifting and grand larceny case in Massapequa.
Police said Shaquanna Johnson, 32, is wanted for shoplifting and fourth-degree grand larceny, a charge that applies when the value of the property allegedly taken exceeds $1,000. The incident was reported in Massapequa, according to Nassau County police.
Authorities described Johnson as a Black woman with black hair and brown eyes. Police said she is approximately 5 feet tall and weighs about 145 pounds.
The case was highlighted by Nassau County police as part of a #MugshotMonday post seeking information from the public. Police urged anyone who knows where Johnson may be to send them a message, saying tips can be forwarded anonymously.
Authorities also warned the public not to attempt to apprehend or detain her, and instead to contact police directly.
As with all criminal matters, the charge is an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
