A Great Neck man was arrested after police said he stabbed a 40-year-old man in the neck multiple times during an argument at a Great Neck home Friday night.
Nassau County police said officers responded to a residence on Florence Avenue at about 9:30 p.m. Aug. 28 for a reported domestic disturbance.
Detectives said Eric Vasquez, 34, of Great Neck, had been involved in a verbal argument with the victim when the confrontation escalated.
Police said Vasquez stabbed the man in the neck multiple times with a folding knife. The victim, fearing for his safety, called 911.
Officers located Vasquez a short time later and arrested him without incident, police said.
Vasquez was charged with second-degree assault and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon.
Police listed his arraignment for Saturday, Aug. 29, at First District Court in Hempstead.
