Two men were arrested after allegedly stealing a Flock camera and the pole it was mounted on from a Syosset intersection Monday evening, Nassau County police said.
Police said two people got out of a black Chevrolet near the intersection of Richmond Street and Willis Avenue at about 6:31 p.m. Aug. 31 and removed the pole and attached Flock camera before fleeing.
Investigators later located the Chevrolet on 3rd Street in West Babylon, police said.
Evren Daldal, 23, of West Babylon, and Dayton Schell, 22, of Ronkonkoma, were arrested without incident.
Daldal and Schell were each charged with third-degree grand larceny, second-degree criminal mischief and fifth-degree conspiracy. Court records list second-degree criminal mischief as the top charge in both cases.
Both were scheduled for arraignment at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in Nassau District Court. An arraignment outcome and release status were not yet listed in the court records.
