Four people were arrested during a Quality-of-Life Initiative conducted by Nassau County Police on Monday night, according to the Third Precinct.
Police said Strategic Response Team officers responded to Uptown Restaurant, located at 1005 Prospect Avenue in New Cassel, and Cremosa Market at 230 Post Avenue in Westbury at approximately 7:58 p.m. An investigation determined that both businesses were in possession of various prescription medications believed to have originated from South America and were allegedly displayed for sale. Both locations were subsequently locked and secured.

Defendants Ana A. Salvador Soto, 32, of Westbury; Ana G. Pineda Quijada, 50, of Westbury; Francisco O. Espinal, 48, of New Cassel; and Kendra C. Lopez Collado, 42, of Hicksville were each charged with Criminal Diversion of Prescription Medication in the Third Degree.
All four defendants were issued appearance tickets and are scheduled to appear at First District Court on Thursday, March 5, 2026.
As with all criminal cases, the charges are accusations, and the defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
