An employee at an Eastport Mobil gas station was arrested Saturday after police said she sold an alcoholic beverage to an underage police agent.
Suffolk County police said Seventh Precinct Crime Section officers conducted an underage alcohol sale operation at the Mobil station at 520 Montauk Highway at about 9:35 a.m. Aug. 22. Police said the operation was conducted in response to community complaints.
During the operation, an underage police agent was sold an alcoholic beverage by an employee, according to police.
Filiz Kahraman, 54, of Wading River, was arrested and charged with unlawfully dealing with a child in the first degree.
Kahraman was issued a desk appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in First District Court in Central Islip at a later date.
The charge is an accusation, and Kahraman is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
