A Bay Shore man has been arrested in connection with a violent assault that left a woman hospitalized Sunday evening in Farmingdale, police said.
According to the Suffolk County Police Department’s Eighth Squad, officers responded to a reported disturbance on Main Street near South Front Street at approximately 6:30 p.m. on February 1. Upon arrival, officers determined that a 45-year-old woman had been attacked by a male suspect, who punched her and stabbed her in the chest and shoulder with an unknown object before fleeing the scene.
The victim was transported to a nearby hospital, where she was treated for her injuries and listed in stable condition.
Following a thorough investigation, detectives located the suspect, identified as Todd McGee, 49, of Bay Shore, nearby. He was taken into custody without further incident.
McGee has been charged with Assault in the Second Degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Fourth Degree, and Aggravated Criminal Contempt. He is scheduled to be arraigned Monday, February 2, 2026, at First District Court in Hempstead.
