Suffolk County Police and Crime Stoppers are asking for the public’s help to identify and locate two people accused of using counterfeit money at a Patchogue grocery store last month.
According to the Suffolk County Police Department, a man and a woman allegedly used counterfeit $100 bills to make two separate purchases at Giunta’s Meat Farms, located at 399 Medford Avenue, on December 17 at approximately 8:05 p.m.
Detectives from the Fifth Squad are investigating the incidents, which are being treated as cases of possession of a forged instrument. Authorities believe the suspects worked together during the transactions.
