Three Arrested in Nassau Cell Phone Shop Burglary Spree

Nassau County police arrested three individuals accused of carrying out a series of commercial burglaries targeting cell phone repair shops across the county, authorities said.

According to the Nassau County Police Department Major Case Squad, the investigation focused on break-ins at several businesses, including iClinic Phone Repair in Rockville Centre, RAPA Wireless in Uniondale, Phone Smart Shop in Baldwin, and a phone repair store in Hicksville.

Police said the alleged incidents involved forced entry and thefts from the targeted locations, prompting a coordinated investigation involving the department’s Bureau of Special Operations, First Squad detectives, Third Squad detectives, Crime Scene investigators, and the Nassau County District Attorney’s Major Offense Bureau.

On April 9, 2026, officers located and arrested Widmaer Innocent, 19, of West Babylon, and Jahmir Corbin, 18, of Westbury, along with a 17-year-old male juvenile.

Innocent and Corbin were each charged with three counts of burglary in the third degree, attempted burglary, and criminal possession of stolen property. Both were arraigned on April 10 at First District Court in Hempstead.

The juvenile defendant faces more extensive charges, including five counts of burglary in the third degree, attempted burglary, and grand larceny in the third degree. Authorities said further investigation linked the juvenile to an additional robbery at a Westbury home on February 13, 2026. He is now also charged with robbery in the first degree and robbery in the second degree.

Burglary in the third degree is a felony offense in New York, and the additional robbery charges against the juvenile represent more serious violent felony counts that could carry significant penalties if convicted.

The juvenile was arraigned in the Youth Section of First District Court. The case remains under investigation.

The charges are merely accusations, and the defendants are presumed innocent until and unless found guilty.
