Police are seeking the public’s help identifying a suspect accused of entering a vacant East Meadow building through underground tunnels and stealing 25 keys from a maintenance office.
The burglary happened at about 11:44 p.m. July 15 at a building on Hempstead Turnpike, according to Nassau County Crime Stoppers.
Police said the suspect entered the vacant building through underground tunnels before getting into a locked room. The suspect then allegedly stole 25 keys from a maintenance office.
Nassau County police released surveillance images of the suspect on Sept. 2 as investigators sought help identifying the person.
Anyone with information can submit an anonymous tip to Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS (8477) or NassauCountyCrimeStoppers.com.
Crime Stoppers offers rewards of up to $5,000, and callers can remain anonymous.
