Police are asking for the public’s help identifying a man accused of stealing nearly $1,000 worth of groceries from a Riverhead supermarket.
The theft happened July 20 at about 8:40 p.m. at Stop & Shop, located at 1615 Old Country Road, according to Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Riverhead Town Police.
Police said the man stole assorted groceries valued at $995 before leaving the store.
Authorities released images of the man they are seeking in connection with the theft.
Suffolk County Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward for information leading to an arrest.
