Nassau County police are asking for the public’s help locating a 40-year-old man wanted in connection with a drug case in Carle Place.
Police identified the wanted man as Israel Cofield.
According to a Nassau County Police Department wanted poster, Cofield is wanted for third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance involving an alleged narcotic drug with intent to sell.
Police listed Carle Place as the location of the incident.
Cofield is described as a Black man with black hair and brown eyes. He is approximately 6 feet, 2 inches tall and weighs about 195 pounds.
Police warned members of the public not to attempt to apprehend or detain Cofield.
Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to contact Nassau County police. The department said information submitted through its messaging system can be forwarded anonymously.
