Nassau County police are asking for the public’s help locating a man wanted in connection with a felony assault tied to Port Washington.
Police identified the suspect as Elraheem Spears, 49. According to authorities, Spears is wanted for second-degree assault, accused of acting with intent to cause physical injury to a social service employee.
The incident occurred in Port Washington, police said.
Spears is described as a Black male with black hair and brown eyes, approximately 5-foot-5 and 150 pounds.
Police are urging anyone with information about his whereabouts to come forward. Tips can be submitted anonymously.
Authorities advised the public not to attempt to apprehend or detain him and to contact police instead.
