Nassau Police Seek Man Wanted on Arson Charge in Bethpage

Nassau County police are asking for the public’s help in locating a man wanted in connection with an arson case in Bethpage.

Police said Jerrel Lowery, 35, is wanted for fifth-degree arson. Authorities said the charge alleges he intentionally damaged another person’s property by fire or explosion.

The incident took place in Bethpage, according to Nassau County police. Additional details about the case were not immediately released in the wanted notice.

Lowery is described by police as a Black man with black hair and brown eyes. He is 6 feet tall and weighs about 180 pounds.

Police said the public should not attempt to apprehend or detain him. Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is being asked to contact Nassau County police. Authorities said messages can be forwarded anonymously.

A criminal charge or wanted designation is an accusation, and a defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
