Missing Teen Brian Attaway May Be In New York City, Authorities Say

Authorities are asking for the public’s help locating a missing teenager who may be in need of medical attention.

Brian Attaway, 17, was last seen on Moreland Road in Commack at approximately 10:34 a.m. on May 27, according to a New York State Missing Child Alert.

Investigators believe Attaway may have traveled to the Times Square area, specifically near West 44th Street and Seventh Avenue in Manhattan, later that evening.

Attaway is described as a Black male who was last seen wearing a blue T-shirt, black jeans and white sneakers.

The teen was previously reported missing after leaving Timothy Hill Ranch in Riverhead in July 2025. Authorities continue to seek information regarding his whereabouts.

Officials said Attaway may require medical attention and are urging anyone who sees him or has information about his location to come forward.

Anyone with information is asked to call 911 or contact the New York State Missing Child Alert line at 800-346-3543. Information can also be provided to the Riverhead Police Department at 631-727-4500.
