RONKONKOMA, N.Y. — Suffolk County police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man accused of stealing cash and credit cards from a wallet left behind at a Ronkonkoma deli late last year.
According to Suffolk County Crime Stoppers, the incident occurred at Lakoma Bagel & Deli on Pond Road at approximately 5:45 a.m. on December 7, 2025. A man reported that he accidentally left his wallet inside the store.
Detectives say another individual found the wallet and removed both cash and credit cards before leaving the location. Authorities have not released a description of the suspect.
The case is being investigated by Fourth Squad detectives. The charge under investigation, grand larceny, typically involves the theft of property or money and can carry significant criminal penalties depending on the value of what was taken.
Suffolk County Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information is asked to submit an anonymous tip by calling 1-800-220-TIPS, using the P3 Tips mobile app, or visiting P3Tips.com. All tips will be kept confidential.
