A Lindenhurst man is facing felony charges after Suffolk County police allegedly discovered more than 1,000 child sex abuse images on electronic devices seized during the execution of a search warrant Thursday morning.
According to Suffolk County Police, detectives assigned to the Digital Forensics Unit conducted the search at a residence on Gates Avenue in Lindenhurst at approximately 7:25 a.m. on June 25 following a tip from the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force.
During the search, investigators seized multiple electronic devices that police said contained more than 1,000 child sex abuse images.
Richard Enstad, 68, was arrested and charged with Promoting a Sexual Performance by a Child and Possessing a Sexual Performance by a Child.
Enstad was scheduled to be arraigned Thursday in First District Court in Central Islip.
