Nassau County police are asking for the public’s help in locating a 68-year-old man who was last seen in Hempstead earlier this week.
According to the Missing Persons Squad, Mario Gomez was last seen in Hempstead at approximately 7:20 a.m. on Monday, June 22, 2026. His disappearance was reported to police on Tuesday, June 23, at approximately 6:30 p.m.
Police described Gomez as a Hispanic man who is 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighs approximately 150 pounds, and has brown eyes and gray hair.
He was last seen wearing a black sweater, a gray sweatshirt, a black hat, and black shoes. Detectives said his possible destination is unknown.
