The Suffolk County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help locating Lorenzo W. Mercado, who is wanted on an Article 4 warrant for failure to pay child support, according to authorities.
Mercado, whose date of birth is listed as Aug. 3, 1990, is also wanted on additional warrants for town violations, the Sheriff’s Office said.
Authorities said Mercado has had previous ties to the Miller Place and Ridge areas.
He is described as 5-foot-8, 160 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair. The warrant was issued Dec. 17, 2025.

As with all warrant notices, the allegations and charges referenced by authorities have not been adjudicated in court.
