Nassau County police are asking for the public’s help locating a woman wanted in connection with a child endangerment case in Hicksville.
Police identified the woman as Mary Ufie, 33, who is wanted on a charge of reckless endangerment involving a child younger than 17.
According to Nassau County Police Department’s latest “Mugshot Monday” posting, the incident happened in Hicksville. Authorities allege Ufie acted in a manner that caused injury risk to a child.
Police described Ufie as a white female with blonde hair and brown eyes. She is approximately 5-foot-7.
Investigators have not released additional details about the circumstances surrounding the alleged incident or when the charge was filed.
Nassau police are urging anyone with information about Ufie’s whereabouts to contact the department. Authorities cautioned the public not to attempt to apprehend or detain her.
The investigation remains ongoing.
