Eight Arrested After Nassau Police Investigate Alleged Illegal Massage Businesses in Hicksville and Plainview

Eight people were arrested Tuesday after a Nassau County Police Narcotics/Vice Squad investigation found alleged illegal massage services and prostitution at several businesses in Hicksville and Plainview, police said.

According to detectives, the investigation determined that illegal massages and/or prostitution were taking place at multiple establishments throughout the two communities. All eight defendants were issued Appearance Tickets and released pending future court appearances.

The arrests include:

  • Sofia Spa, 195 S. Broadway, Hicksville: Yanzhu Ma, 42, of Flushing, was charged with Prostitution and Unauthorized Practice of a Profession.
  • Wing Spa, 70 Washington Parkway, Hicksville: Noralba Alvarez, 50, of Elmhurst, was charged with Prostitution and Unauthorized Practice of a Profession.
  • K & R Spa, 107 Newbridge Road, Hicksville: Sufeng Yue, 50, of Flushing, was charged with Prostitution.
  • 87 Broadway, Hicksville: Alejandrina Vigniero Batista, 57, of Plainview, was charged with Prostitution and Unauthorized Practice of a Profession.
  • 811 Old Country Road, Plainview: Minying Xin, 47, of Jericho, was charged with Prostitution and Unauthorized Practice of a Profession.
  • Serenity Foot Spa, 70 Broadway, Hicksville:
    • Suxia Jie, 51, of Oakland Gardens, was charged with Unauthorized Practice of a Profession.
    • Liu Zhongfeng, 52, of Flushing, was charged with Unauthorized Practice of a Profession.
    • Junge Zhang, 53, of Flushing, was charged with Unauthorized Practice of a Profession.

As with all criminal cases, the charges are accusations, and the defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
