Centereach Woman Charged With Prostitution After Investigation at Vacant Store

CENTEREACH, NY — A 43-year-old Centereach woman was charged with prostitution Tuesday night after Suffolk County police investigated complaints involving a vacant store, police said.

Sixth Precinct Crime Unit officers conducted an investigation at the vacant store at 14 Dawn Drive in response to community complaints, according to police. Officers arrested Weiyan Jiang at approximately 8 p.m. on Sept. 8.

Jiang was charged with one count of prostitution, a misdemeanor.

She was issued a Desk Appearance Ticket and is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip at a later date.
