A Roosevelt man was arrested following a robbery investigation that led detectives to his home, where police say they recovered a loaded handgun from his vehicle.
According to Nassau County Police, Third Squad detectives responded to the residence of Jadale Golding, 20, of 20 Brooklyn Avenue in Roosevelt, on February 26 while attempting to take him into custody for a robbery that occurred on November 19, 2025 at approximately 8:05 p.m. at 95 Old Country Road in Carle Place.
When detectives arrived, they observed Golding sitting inside a vehicle outside the residence. As officers approached, police said he fled on foot, prompting a brief foot pursuit. Golding was apprehended a short time later and placed under arrest without further incident.
Following the arrest, detectives recovered a loaded Glock .40-caliber handgun from inside the defendant’s vehicle.
Golding has been charged with Robbery in the First Degree, Menacing in the Second Degree, two counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Third Degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Fourth Degree, and Assault in the Third Degree.
He was arraigned on February 26, 2026 at First District Court in Hempstead. Court records show Golding was arraigned, pleaded not guilty, and had bail set at $25,000 cash, $62,500 insured bond, or $125,000 partially secured surety bond, which has since been posted.
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
