Two men were arrested during a multiday New York State Police operation targeting people accused of using online platforms to arrange illegal meetings with individuals they believed were children, authorities announced.
The operation was coordinated by the New York State Police Troop L Computer Crime Unit and other members of the State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation.
Police said undercover investigators and advanced cyber investigative techniques were used to identify individuals allegedly communicating online with people they believed were minors for the purpose of arranging in-person meetings involving illegal sexual activity.
Edwin Antonio Sabillon Jr., 24, of West Babylon, was charged with attempted second-degree rape, attempted endangering the welfare of a child and attempted first-degree dissemination of materials to a minor.
Sabillon was arraigned July 17, 2026, at Suffolk County First District Court.
Anik Conley-Das, 36, of Norwood, Massachusetts, was also charged with attempted second-degree rape, attempted endangering the welfare of a child and attempted first-degree dissemination of materials to a minor.
Conley-Das was arraigned July 18 at Suffolk County First District Court.

The charges are allegations, and the defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
