Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Riverhead Town Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying two people accused of stealing merchandise from a Riverhead store.
According to authorities, a man and a woman allegedly took approximately $370 worth of clothing from Marshalls, located at 1762 Old Country Road, on December 20 at about 1:07 p.m.
No additional descriptions of the suspects were released.
The incident is being investigated as petit larceny, a misdemeanor under New York law. A conviction can carry penalties including fines, restitution, and possible jail time, depending on prior offenses.
Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward for information that leads to an arrest.
