LAKE GROVE, NY — An 18-year-old man was arrested after allegedly taking photos of another man inside a bathroom stall at Smith Haven Mall, Suffolk County Police said.
Police said Antonio Masso, of Mastic Beach, was inside a bathroom stall at the Lake Grove mall at about 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 22, when he reached over and took photos of a 42-year-old man using the adjacent stall.
The man noticed the phone and confronted Masso outside the bathroom, police said. A mall security guard then called police.
Masso was charged with second-degree unlawful surveillance, a felony. He was issued a Desk Appearance Ticket and is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip at a later date.
Police are asking anyone who believes they may have been a victim of Masso to contact the Fourth Squad at 631-854-8452.
The charge is an accusation, and Masso is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
