CORAM, N.Y. — Suffolk County police arrested two women during a raid at an apartment inside Heatherwood Pinewood Village on Route 112 in Coram, where detectives said they seized cocaine, cash and electronic devices.
The Aug. 6 raid followed an investigation launched in response to community complaints about an alleged brothel operating from Apartment 51A at 1998 Route 112, police said.
Sixth Precinct Crime Unit officers and detectives from the Human Trafficking Investigations Unit executed a search warrant at the apartment.
Fen Fang Lin, 57, of Queens, and Xiangjie Lin, 41, of Brooklyn, were each charged with prostitution.
Police said the women had advertised their services on commercial internet sites.
Both women were issued Desk Appearance Tickets and are scheduled to be arraigned at a later date.
The investigation remains ongoing.
