Three people were arrested and 10 vehicles were impounded after a street takeover involving at least 200 ATVs, dirt bikes and motorcycles moved through several Suffolk County communities Saturday, police said.
The incident began at about 4:20 p.m. on Route 347 in Hauppauge, where multiple 911 callers reported riders driving recklessly and performing stunts, according to Suffolk County police.

Fourth Precinct officers responded, arrested two people and impounded several vehicles. Police said the larger group then disbanded and regrouped near Motor Parkway and Express Drive South in Brentwood.
Highway Patrol and Third Precinct officers later observed the group traveling through Bay Shore. At about 6:30 p.m., two ATVs became disabled and their operators fled on foot, police said.
One of the operators was apprehended and allegedly found carrying a loaded gun.
Ava Mongiello, 23, of Mount Sinai, and Jahkil Arroyo, 29, of Central Islip, were charged with reckless driving, second-degree reckless endangerment and unlawfully fleeing a police officer. Both were issued desk appearance tickets.
Shamir Solomon, 22, of Roosevelt, was charged with second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, unlawful speed contest and reckless driving.
Police said Solomon was held overnight at the Third Precinct and was scheduled to be arraigned July 26 at First District Court in Central Islip.
A total of 10 vehicles were impounded during the police response.
The charges are accusations, and the defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
