An 18-year-old Syosset man has pleaded guilty to manslaughter for fatally stabbing a 15-year-old boy during an altercation at a house party in West Babylon last year, Suffolk County prosecutors announced Thursday.

Aiden Zachary pleaded guilty to first-degree manslaughter in connection with the November 2025 killing of Liam Delemo, according to Suffolk County District Attorney Raymond A. Tierney.

Prosecutors said Zachary, who was 17 at the time, arrived uninvited at a large house party in West Babylon at approximately 10 p.m. Nov. 4, 2025.

After being asked to leave, Zachary became involved in an altercation with Delemo.

During the confrontation, Zachary pulled out a knife and stabbed the 15-year-old in the abdomen and arm before fleeing, according to court documents and statements Zachary made while entering his guilty plea.

Delemo died as a result of the stabbing.

“This young defendant chose to escalate a dispute with a deadly weapon, resulting in the tragic death of a 15-year-old boy,” Tierney said. “Two families are now forever changed by this senseless act of violence.”

Tierney credited prosecutors in his office’s Homicide Bureau for their work on the case.

Zachary’s guilty plea was announced Oct. 15. Sentencing information was not included in the portion of the district attorney’s release provided.
