Update 3 [4/21/26 at 7am]: Suffolk County Police have confirmed that a man was shot and killed in Huntington Station on April 20.
According to police, a 911 caller reported that a man had been shot behind One Stop Deli, located at 150 West Pulaski Road, at approximately 4:15 p.m.
When officers arrived, they found an adult male with a gunshot wound. He was transported to Huntington Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Suffolk County Police Homicide Squad detectives are investigating the killing.

“I have been in close contact with leadership at the Second Precinct following the calls I’ve received regarding the incident on Pulaski Road and Railroad Street. I am deeply concerned, and I will continue working closely with law enforcement as they gather all the facts,” Sanin said.

According to multiple posts, the incident was reported near West Pulaski Road and Railroad Street, where a 30-year-old man allegedly suffered a gunshot wound to the chest. CPR was reportedly in progress at the scene, and a helicopter was observed overhead. These details have not yet been confirmed by law enforcement.
Separate unverified accounts suggest the incident may be connected to a dispute that began earlier in Jamaica, Queens, and continued onto a train heading eastbound. Passengers reportedly alerted authorities before the situation escalated, though officials have not confirmed that sequence of events.
