Suffolk County Police have issued a Silver Alert for a missing Centereach man who suffers from Parkinson’s disease and does not speak English.
Mochang Im, 78, was last seen at his residence on Shearwater Way on June 3 at approximately 9 a.m., according to police.
Police said Im may still be in Centereach or surrounding communities. He is believed to be on foot and is known to frequently walk along Portion Road and Middle Country Road to visit shopping centers and local businesses.
Im is described as Asian, bald, 5 feet 3 inches tall, weighing approximately 140 pounds, with brown eyes.
He was last seen wearing a dark blue puffy jacket, dark blue sweatpants, white and blue sneakers, and a blue hat.
Police said Im does not have a vehicle, cell phone, or wallet.
Anyone with information regarding Im’s whereabouts is asked to call 911 or the Sixth Squad at 631-854-8652.
The Silver Alert program allows Suffolk County law enforcement agencies to share information with media outlets when individuals with special needs are reported missing.
