Update: A Farmingville man has been charged after Suffolk County Police say he fatally stabbed his estranged wife and injured a teenage relative inside a Granny Road home Thursday night. Police also say he then stabbed himself.
Sixth Precinct officers responded to 144 Granny Road at approximately 8:15 p.m. on February 12 after receiving a 911 call reporting a domestic incident. When officers arrived, they found Adriana Barbosa, 46, and Marcos Marques-Lea, 57, suffering from stab wounds inside the house.
Police said a teenage child relative who was in the home at the time was also injured during the attack.

Barbosa was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital, where she was pronounced dead. The teen was also taken to the hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries. Leal was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital with serious injuries.
Homicide Squad detectives charged Leal with Murder in the Second Degree, Criminal Contempt in the First Degree, and Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
He will be arraigned at a later date.

Original Story: A woman and a man injured following a violent incident Thursday night in Farmingville that shut down a stretch of Granny Road for hours.
According to preliminary reports circulating on social media and dispatch audio, Suffolk County Police responded to a 911 call around 8:15 p.m. regarding a male attempting to force his way into a home at 144 Granny Road.
Responding Sixth Precinct patrol units were advised that the suspect had gained entry and that a complainant was locked inside a room hiding. Upon arrival, officers reportedly discovered multiple victims suffering from stab wounds.
Sources indicate a male and a female were stabbed. Aviation was initially requested for a medical evacuation, though that request was later canceled and victims were transported by ground to area hospitals.
Dispatch reports indicate that one suspect was taken into custody at the scene. It is unclear if the suspect was among those injured.
Police shut down Granny Road from Mount McKinley Avenue to Old Medford Avenue as crime scene units responded. Farmingville Fire Department units were staged nearby during the initial response.
News 12 also reported a large police presence in the area beginning around 8:30 p.m., confirming the roadway closure for an ongoing investigation.
Suffolk County Police have not yet released an official statement detailing the circumstances, identities, or charges. The investigation remains ongoing.
