Suffolk County police are renewing their call for information in the unsolved 2023 homicide of Lori Dimuccio, a 57-year-old woman whose body was discovered in Port Jefferson Station.
The case is being highlighted as part of National Crime Victims’ Rights Week, an annual effort by the Suffolk County Police Department to generate new leads in unresolved cases and seek justice for victims.
According to police, Dimuccio’s body was found on December 8, 2023, on the grounds of the former Lawrence Aviation Industries Incorporated site at 100 Sheep Pasture Road. Authorities said she had been living in a tent within an encampment on the property.
An autopsy determined that Dimuccio died as a result of homicidal violence.
Investigators said she had been reported missing by a family member on February 12, 2023, months before her remains were discovered.
No arrests have been made in the case.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward for information that leads to an arrest. Detectives are urging anyone with information about Dimuccio’s death or activity in the area around the time of her disappearance to come forward.
Police emphasized that tips can be provided anonymously.
The investigation remains active.
