Riverhead Town Police and Suffolk County Crime Stoppers are asking for the public’s help in identifying and locating a woman accused of stealing hundreds of dollars’ worth of merchandise from a Riverhead Walmart.
According to authorities, the theft occurred on April 28 at approximately 5:20 p.m. at Walmart, located at 1890 Old Country Road. Investigators said the woman stole approximately $420 worth of clothing, over-the-counter medication, and other merchandise from the store.
Police released surveillance images of the suspect and are asking anyone who recognizes her to come forward.
Suffolk County Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information can submit an anonymous tip by calling 1-800-220-TIPS, using the P3 Tips mobile app, or visiting P3Tips.com. All calls, texts, and emails will be kept confidential.
The investigation remains ongoing.
