Nassau County police are asking for the public’s help finding Derrick Patten, who is wanted in connection with an alleged residential burglary in Freeport.
Patten, 34, is wanted on a charge of second-degree burglary involving illegal entry into a dwelling, according to a wanted notice released by police.
Police described Patten as a Black man with black hair and brown eyes. He is approximately 5 feet, 9 inches tall and weighs about 195 pounds.
Authorities warned members of the public not to attempt to apprehend or detain Patten.
Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to contact Nassau County police. Police said information can be submitted anonymously.
