Police Seek 13-Year-Old Missing Girl Last Seen Leaving Hempstead Home

The Nassau County Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating a 13-year-old girl who was reported missing from Hempstead.

According to detectives, Brittany Chavarria was last seen leaving her residence in Hempstead on foot at approximately 3 p.m. on Monday, June 8. Her destination and current whereabouts are unknown.

Police described Chavarria as a Hispanic female standing 5 feet 2 inches tall and weighing approximately 110 pounds. She has blue hair and brown eyes.

She was last seen wearing a gray sweatshirt and gray sweatpants.

The missing juvenile was reported to Nassau County Police on Tuesday, June 9, at approximately 7:45 p.m., according to authorities.

Detectives are asking anyone with information about Chavarria’s whereabouts to contact the Nassau County Police Department Missing Persons Squad at 516-573-7347 or call 911. Police said all callers will remain anonymous.
