Update: Nassau County police said Mireia Gonzalez has been located and is safe.
Nassau County police are asking for the public’s help in locating a missing teenager who was last seen in Hicksville.
According to the Nassau County Police Department Missing Persons Squad, 15-year-old Mireia Gonzalez was last seen at her residence in Hicksville at approximately 1 a.m. on Monday, June 15. Her disappearance was reported to police later that morning at 9:35 a.m.
Police described Gonzalez as a Hispanic female who is 5-foot-3 and weighs approximately 115 pounds. She has brown hair and brown eyes.
Investigators said her clothing description and any possible destinations are unknown at this time.
The investigation remains ongoing.
