MEDFORD, NY — Suffolk County police are investigating after someone used a BMW to ram another vehicle into a Medford car dealership early Thursday before stealing a Dodge Charger from the showroom.
Police said a person or people broke into Nissan 112, located at 2004 Route 112, at about 1:30 a.m. Sept. 3 and stole a set of keys to a 2023 BMW X5.
The BMW was then used to crash into a 2022 Nissan Versa, causing the Versa to strike the dealership and break a window, police said.
The person or people then stole a 2023 Dodge Charger from inside the showroom.
Detectives are asking anyone with information about the burglary to contact Suffolk County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS, through the P3 Tips mobile app or online at P3Tips.com.
Tips can be submitted anonymously, and police said information resulting in an arrest may be eligible for a reward of up to $5,000.
