A Hempstead man was arrested Saturday night as part of an overdose death investigation, police said.
According to Nassau County Narcotics/Vice Squad detectives, the investigation led to the arrest of Nathaniel J. Greene, 58, of Terrace Avenue in Hempstead, at approximately 9:35 p.m. on May 16 in Bethpage.
Police said Greene was taken into custody without incident during the investigation into the fatal overdose.
Detectives said Greene was later found in possession of a white powdery substance believed to be cocaine.
Greene has been charged with Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree.
