Three Indicted in Amityville Cocaine Trafficking Ring, Two Face 25 Years to Life

Cocaine and cash seized during a Suffolk County drug trafficking investigation involving an alleged operation in Amityville and Lindenhurst.

Three Suffolk County men have been indicted in an alleged cocaine trafficking operation that used an Amityville stash house to package drugs for street sales and supplied cocaine to an undercover officer on 11 occasions, prosecutors announced Thursday.

Two of the defendants face up to 25 years to life in prison if convicted of operating as major drug traffickers, according to Suffolk County District Attorney Raymond A. Tierney.

The defendants are Gaspal German Santos, 40, of Lindenhurst; Isaul Soto Mejia, 37, of Lindenhurst; and Pawell Cassidy Guzman Jimenez, 37, of North Amityville.

Prosecutors said German Santos operated the distribution side of the organization, while Soto Mejia and Guzman Jimenez allegedly supplied cocaine.

The investigation began in March 2026 when the Suffolk County District Attorney’s East End Drug Task Force began investigating German Santos, also known as “Mochilla.”

Between March and October, an undercover law enforcement officer purchased cocaine from German Santos on 11 separate occasions, prosecutors said.

On June 25, German Santos allegedly arranged to sell 200 grams of cocaine to the undercover officer. Investigators observed him meeting with Soto Mejia, who allegedly entered his vehicle and handed him a brown Target shopping bag.

German Santos then allegedly delivered the bag, containing 200 grams of cocaine, to the undercover officer.

On Sept. 15, German Santos allegedly arranged another sale involving a kilogram of cocaine. Surveillance showed Guzman Jimenez supplying the drugs that were subsequently sold to the undercover officer, prosecutors said.

Thousands of bags seized from Amityville stash house

On Oct. 2, investigators executed a court-authorized search warrant at a property on Park Place in Amityville that prosecutors described as a stash house.

Authorities seized multiple kilograms of cocaine, including 1,079 bags of suspected cocaine packaged for street sales, approximately $5,538 in cash and drug paraphernalia.

Investigators also recovered approximately 15,000 empty glassine bags, scales and cutting agents allegedly used to prepare cocaine for distribution.

Prosecutors said the operation involved dividing kilograms of cocaine into thousands of individual one-third-gram bags, allowing the organization to sell smaller quantities at higher prices and potentially double its profits.

Guzman Jimenez was arrested at the Amityville property.

On Oct. 8, investigators searched German Santos’ residence on North Alleghany Avenue in Lindenhurst, recovering 170 grams of cocaine, approximately $2,072 in cash, drug paraphernalia and a drug ledger.

German Santos and Soto Mejia were arrested shortly after the second search.

“Eleven separate sales to an undercover are not isolated transactions,” Tierney said. “As alleged, this was a deliberate, sustained operation fueled by suppliers and a seller who kept coming back for more.”

Three defendants arraigned on felony charges

All three defendants were arraigned Oct. 29 before Acting Supreme Court Justice Philip Goglas.

German Santos was indicted on eight counts of first-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, second-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, second-degree conspiracy, three counts of third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, 12 counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and three misdemeanor drug paraphernalia charges.

He faces up to 20 years in prison if convicted of the top charge and is scheduled to return to court Dec. 9.

Soto Mejia was indicted on charges of operating as a major trafficker, first-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, second-degree conspiracy, first-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and three misdemeanor drug paraphernalia charges.

He faces up to 25 years to life in prison if convicted of the top charge. His next court appearance is scheduled for Dec. 11.

Guzman Jimenez was indicted on charges of operating as a major trafficker, two counts of first-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, second-degree conspiracy, first-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, three counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and three misdemeanor drug paraphernalia charges.

He also faces up to 25 years to life in prison if convicted of the top charge and is scheduled to return to court Nov. 16.

Goglas set bail for each defendant at $2 million cash, $10 million bond or $20 million partially secured bond.

The investigation was conducted by the East End Drug Task Force, which includes investigators from the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office and multiple local and state law enforcement agencies. The task force was assisted by the New York Drug Enforcement Task Group T-21 and the Office of the Special Narcotics Prosecutor.

The case is being prosecuted by Assistant District Attorneys Dennis Wouters, Jacob Kubetz and Raquel Tisi of the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Narcotics Bureau.

All three defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
