A Valley Stream man has been charged with burglary after police said a PlayStation 5, controllers and clothing were stolen from a West Hempstead home while the residents were away.
Nassau County police said Juan Trejo Lopez, 25, of Valley Stream, was arrested following an investigation into the Aug. 25 burglary at a home on June Place.
According to Fifth Squad detectives, Fifth Precinct officers responded to the residence after a 62-year-old woman and 28-year-old man reported that someone entered their home without permission while they were away.
Police said a PlayStation 5 console, two PlayStation controllers and assorted clothing were taken from the home.
Following an investigation, detectives located Trejo Lopez and arrested him without incident, police said.
Trejo Lopez was charged with second-degree burglary. Police said he was scheduled to be arraigned Sept. 5 at First District Court in Hempstead.
