Two employees were arrested and a Huntington Station night club was issued 11 building, fire and code violations during a late-night inspection Friday, Suffolk County police said.
The inspection was conducted at The Carousel Night Club, 522 East Jericho Turnpike, at about 11:30 p.m. Aug. 28, according to police.
Officers arrested the club’s manager, Rick Scola, 59, of Huntington Station, on a charge of employing an unlicensed security guard, an unclassified misdemeanor. Police also issued Scola two tickets for State Liquor Authority violations.
Antonio Daddi, 52, of Merrick, who police identified as a security guard, was arrested on a charge of working as an unlicensed security guard, also an unclassified misdemeanor.
The Suffolk County Police Department’s Second Precinct Crime Section conducted the inspection in conjunction with the department’s Human Trafficking Unit, the New York State Liquor Authority, the Town of Huntington Fire Marshal and a town ordinance inspector.
Town fire marshals and a code enforcement inspector issued the establishment a combined 11 building, fire and code violations, police said.
Scola and Daddi were issued field appearance tickets and are scheduled to be arraigned Sept. 17 at First District Court in Central Islip.
The charges are accusations, and the defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
