Nassau County police are asking for the public’s help locating a 20-year-old man wanted on felony criminal mischief and weapon-related menacing charges stemming from an incident in Hicksville.
Police identified the wanted man as Gehrig Hoffman. He is wanted for felony criminal mischief and second-degree menacing with a weapon, according to a Nassau County Police Department alert.
Hoffman is described by police as a Hispanic male with brown hair and brown eyes. He is approximately 6 feet 1 inch tall and weighs about 220 pounds.
Police did not provide additional details about the Hicksville incident in the alert.
Anyone with information about Hoffman’s whereabouts is asked to contact Nassau County police. The department said messages containing information will be forwarded anonymously.
Police warned members of the public not to attempt to apprehend or detain him and to contact law enforcement instead.
