A Pennsylvania man faces multiple felony charges after Nassau County police accused him of breaking into residences and stealing jewelry during a series of burglaries spanning nearly a year.
Reginald Engram, 60, of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, was arrested in New Hyde Park at about 9:30 p.m. Friday, July 24, police said.
According to Nassau County police, Engram unlawfully entered multiple homes throughout the county between July 11, 2025, and May 23, 2026. Detectives said assorted jewelry was taken from the residences.
Major Case Squad detectives located Engram in New Hyde Park following an extensive investigation, police said. He allegedly ran from officers before being taken into custody after a brief foot pursuit.
Engram was transported to a local hospital for evaluation and treatment following his arrest.
He is charged with six counts of second-degree burglary, attempted second-degree burglary, criminal mischief and possession of burglar tools.
Engram will be arraigned when medically practical, police said.
