Nassau County police are searching for a 36-year-old man wanted in connection with a grand larceny case in Valley Stream.
Police identified the wanted man as Alexandru Dumitru. He is wanted on a charge of fourth-degree grand larceny involving property allegedly taken from a person.
Dumitru is described as a white man with brown hair and brown eyes. Police said he is approximately 5 feet, 9 inches tall and weighs about 200 pounds.
Authorities did not release additional information about the alleged theft in the wanted notice.
Police warned members of the public not to attempt to apprehend or detain Dumitru. Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to contact Nassau County police. Anonymous information may also be submitted by messaging the department through its social media accounts.
