Homicide Detectives Investigating Death at Massapequa Home

Nassau County homicide detectives are investigating a death at a home in Massapequa after police responded to a 911 call early Monday morning.

According to Nassau County Police, Seventh Precinct officers were called to a residence at approximately 1:30 a.m. Monday, June 1.

Authorities have released few details about what occurred, but Newsday reported that homicide detectives were investigating a death at a home on Beaumont Avenue, just west of Massapequa High School.

A large police presence remained in the area Monday morning. Beaumont Avenue was closed as detectives and crime scene investigators worked at the location. Police aviation units were also seen operating overhead.

Newsday reported that patrol officers, crime scene personnel and a Nassau police ambulance were observed at the scene.

Police have not announced any arrests or identified anyone involved.

Massapequa High School was not affected by the investigation, according to a school spokesperson cited by Newsday.

The investigation remains ongoing.
