Two women were arrested Thursday after community complaints prompted an investigation and raid at a Huntington Station massage parlor, Suffolk County police said.
Second Precinct Crime Unit officers conducted the July 16 investigation with the Town of Huntington fire marshal and ordinance inspector at an unnamed business located at 831 E. Jericho Turnpike.
Police arrested Yanping Deng, 44, of Flushing, on charges of unauthorized practice of a profession, a felony, and prostitution, a misdemeanor.
Qiuyan Huang, 42, also of Flushing, was charged with criminal nuisance.
Town officials issued several violations against the business. The fire marshal and ordinance inspector are continuing their investigation, police said.
Both women were issued desk appearance tickets and are scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip at a later date.
The charges are accusations. The defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
